Baseball. Baseball Kicks Off Spring Break Road Trip at Louisiana-Monroe
For the first time this year the University of Memphis baseball team will leave the mid-south area as it will begin a three-game, week-long road trip on Wed., Mar. 10 with the first game of a home-and-home series versus Louisiana-Monroe. First pitch for the contest at Warhawk Field is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

The University of Memphis (17-13) women's basketball team had no answers inside for the East Carolina (22-9) in a 73-66 loss in the second quarterfinal in the GMC Sierra 2010 Conference USA Championships Tuesday afternoon.

M. Golf. Lee and Keoninh's Third Round Scores Help Tigers Come Back to Finish Fifth at Louisiana Classics
Steve Lee shot a three-under-par 69 and Lexus Keoninh shot his best round of the season after turning in a one-under-par 71 on Tuesday morning to help the Tigers finish in fifth place at the 25th-annual Louisiana Classics at the Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La.

M. Basketball. Memphis/Conference USA Tournament Notes
The University of Memphis squad (23-8, 13-3 C-USA) enters the 2010 GMC Sierra Conference USA Tournament as the No. 2 seed and begins play on Thursday, Mar. 11 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla. The Tigers earned a bye into the tournament quarterfinals and will meet the winner of the first-round contest between No. 7 seed Houston (15-15, 7-9 C-USA) and No. 10 seed East Carolina (10-20, 4-12 C-USA).

W. Tennis. Lady Tigers Travel to Arizona to Face No. 44 Arizona State and Eastern Arizona College on Wednesday
The University of Memphis women's tennis team will return to action with two matches on Wed., March 10 in the Grand Canyon State. The Lady Tigers will face the Eastern Arizona College Gila Monsters at 9 a.m., at the Whiteman Tennis Center in Tempe, Ariz. Following the morning match, Memphis will take on the 44th-ranked Arizona State Sun Devils at 1:30 a.m. (PT).

M. Soccer. Men's Soccer Program to Host "Kicks for a Cause" on March 24 at Mike Rose Soccer Complex
The University of Memphis men's soccer program will host "Kicks for a Cause" on Wed., Mar. 24 at 7 p.m., at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex. The event will feature a game between the Memphis men's soccer team and the Colaiste Ide Prep program from Dublin, Ireland. Admission for the game is $2. All proceeds and donations will go straight to the Red Cross to benefit their efforts in regards to the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti on Jan. 12.

Softball. Memphis Faces First True Road Test at North Florida
The University of Memphis softball team will play a doubleheader with North Florida on Wednesday beginning at 4 p.m. (EST) in Jacksonville, Fla., in the Tigers' first true road test of the season. The U of M travels to UNF after finishing 3-2 at the USF Under Armour Invitational in Clearwater, Fla.

M. Golf. Tigers Finish in a Tie for 11th Place after First Day at Louisiana Classics
The Memphis men's golf team finished in a tie for 11th place at the end of day one at the 2010 Louisiana Classics at the Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La. The Tigers fired a team score of 304 in the second round after turning in a combined first round tally of 289 in the morning session.

Baseball. Missed Opportunities Cost Tigers in 7-2 Loss to Portland
Memphis put base runners in scoring position in seven of nine innings, but went just 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position in a 7-2 loss to Portland, Monday afternoon at FedExPark. The Tigers split their four games in four days home stand.
